The game is scheduled to be released in 2022 and at the time of writing, it's only been confirmed for a Steam release. It seems you'll be facing off against illegal poachers, and exploring dark dungeons with the help of your indentured buddies, and the creature design itself looks like a delight, too.

It's like Bugsnax via Oddworld, with a distinctly Pokemon flavor, and it's certainly caught our attention. Here's Palworld, coming out this year on Steam. Palworld deviates from the Pokemon formula in that you can opt to slaughter the pals with guns (yes, really) for food or resources, or choose a more crime-free life and use your pals to help you raise crops and make a homestead. Enjoy this brand new gameplay trailer from this wackey mash-up of a game, featuring the cutest cuddly characters and FPS gameplay.

Palworld is an open-world survival game that revolves around 'Pals' – creatures similar to Pokemon that can be sold, will protect you with their life, and can be made to work in factories until they die. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl are launching on November 19, 2021, but if you'd prefer a more mature, pessimistic look at the creature-collecting genre, perhaps Pocket Pair's Palworld should be on your radar. Let's be honest, if Pokemon were real, there's a very good chance they'd be used like animals are in our world – battery farmed, exploited for labor, used as tools and for industry as well as domesticated as pets. Ever wondered what Pokemon would be like if it were more reflective of the real world? Well, wonder no longer because Palworld is likely to answer that question. Palworld is expected to be released later this year on PC via Steam, where you can put it on your wishlist Via her official page (Opens in a new tab).įor more great games featured during today’s Future Games Show, check out Our official Steam page (Opens in a new tab). Palworld certainly promises to be an interesting alternative to the wargame series on creature-capturing JRPGs that has taken a shot at the Pokemon crown in recent years – the likes of Ooblets and Temtem seem more useful, but perhaps that’s an interesting part of the newcomer’s charm. Other battles are more outlandish than the heavily armed boss fights, where you’ll blast your friends from rocket launchers, see others use cheap miners or guard machine gun nests while protecting from an oncoming horde. The two very different feelings collide every now and then, as you’ll pick in some traditional battles at least for a while. A fiery friend helps make a campfire, while some lupine buddies elsewhere pull a sleigh through a snowy environment (which is bad luck for a big yellow traveler). The other aspect of Palworld that the trailer explores is how the creatures you capture interact with their environment. Instead of using your companions to lower their health levels, however, in Palworld, you’ll use a shotgun to help subdue your opponents. You can also sell them off or even slaughter them to eat That however, is forbidden by law. You can make Pals fight, breed, help with farming, or work in factories. First, there is a set of boss battles, in which you will face powerful enemies. Palworld is a game about living a slow life with mysterious creatures Pal or throwing yourself into life-and-death battles with poachers. The trailer focuses on two key aspects of the Palworld spin on the formula. Palworld, the action RPG that brings together creatures with a violent twist, is showing a new trailer for its Mana-powered futuristic games fair.
